U.S. Citizens

Somali Bantu refugees have begun applying for and achieving U.S. Citizenship! The Citizenship testing process includes a personal interview, a written test, and an American civics test. After 5 years living in the United States, refugees are eligible to apply for their American citizenship. Shown here is a new citizen signing his cerificate during the Oath Ceremony.
